108TPH Water Filtration FiIter System for Industrial Use
This is a 30 liters per second (30 LPS=108TPH ) water filtration system designed for a Mexican engineering company.
Raw Water Condition
The raw water comes from the backwash discharge of zeolite and activated carbon filters, with a turbidity of 171 NTU. The customer aims to reuse this water for industrial production after proper filtration.
Filtration Target
After treatment, the system will reduce turbidity to below 5 NTU before the water enters the product water tank. If the outlet turbidity is higher than 5 NTU, the flow will automatically be diverted to a reject water tank, ensuring that only qualified water is reused.
Process Flow of Water Filtration System
The 30 LPS filtration system follows a fully automated multistage process designed to reduce turbidity from 171 NTU to below 5 NTU. The complete process flow is as follows:
1. Inlet Water → Backwash Pump
Raw water from the backwash discharge tank is delivered to the system by a dedicated backwash pump, ensuring stable inlet pressure and flow.
2. Automatic Disc Filter (100 Micron)
The water first passes through a 100-micron automatic disc filter, which removes large suspended solids and protects downstream filters from overload.

3. Zeolite Filter (SUS304)
The pre-filtered water enters the SUS304 zeolite filter, which removes fine suspended solids, turbidity, and colloids.

4. Activated Carbon Filters (Two SUS304 Tanks)
After zeolite filtration, the water is processed by two stainless steel activated carbon filters, operating either in series or parallel depending on design.

This stage stabilizes water quality before final polishing.
5. Cartridge Filter (SUS304 Housing)
The final polishing is completed by a cartridge filter, which ensures fine sediment removal and guarantees the outlet turbidity is consistently ≤5 NTU.
6. Outlet Water Quality Check
A turbidity sensor at the final outlet continuously monitors effluent quality.

The system uses Siemens PLC to control electric or pneumatic valves. Key logic includes:
