Modular Containerized Reverse Osmosis System

Modular Containerized Reverse Osmosis System

Haiyuan produces modular containerized reverse osmosis (RO) water systems. It can be fixed in 20ft or 40ft containers.
These fully pre-assembled systems are compact, easy to transport, and ready to operate upon site delivery. They are suitable for drinking water, industrial process water, irrigation, and seawater desalination. With modular design and optional automation, the system can be customized for capacity, water quality, and power supply to meet diverse customer needs.

Modular Containerized Reverse Osmosis System Advantages:

Plug-and-Play: Fully pre-installed and pre-tested in the factory; just connect water and power to operate.

Compact & Space-Saving: All reverse osmosis integrated into a standard shipping container.

Flexible & Relocatable: Easily transported or redeployed for remote sites, construction projects, or emergency water supply.

Modular Design: Can operate as a single unit or in parallel for capacity expansion.

Automated Operation: Optional PLC control for automatic operation, flushing, and alarm monitoring.

Rugged & Reliable: Weatherproof, dustproof, and corrosion-resistant design for harsh environments.

Easy Shipping: Standard container dimensions for convenient sea or land transport, ideal for export.

What Types Of Water Sources Can Containerized Reverse Osmosis Systems Treat?

Water Source TDS Range (ppm) Reason / Characteristics
Rainwater 0–50 ppm Low air and dust pollution, low dissolved solids
Surface Water (Rivers, Lakes) 50–500 ppm Contains suspended solids and organic matter, affected by rainfall and watershed pollution
Groundwater / Well Water 200–2000 ppm Contact with underground minerals, contains calcium, magnesium, iron, manganese, etc.
Brackish Water 1,000–10,000 ppm High dissolved salts, influenced by seawater or minerals
Seawater 30,000–45,000 ppm Rich in dissolved salts, mainly sodium and chloride ions
Tap Water 100–500 ppm Treated source water but still contains minerals and trace ions

Modular Containerized RO System Process Flow:

Raw Water Tank: Stores the raw water and buffers fluctuations in water volume, ensuring a stable supply for the water treatment system.

Booster Pump: Provides stable pressure to transport the raw water to the subsequent pre-treatment units, ensuring a consistent flow.

Multi-media Filter: Removes suspended solids, sand, and large particles from the water, protecting the next system from clogging or wear

Activated Carbon Filter: Eliminates color, odor, organic matter, and residual chlorine from the water, improving water quality.

Water Softener: Removes calcium and magnesium ions, reduces water hardness, prevents scaling, and extends the life of the equipment.

Precision Filter: Removes fine particles and suspended solids to protect the RO membranes from clogging.

Reverse Osmosis (RO) System: Removes dissolved salts and the majority (up to 99%) of total dissolved solids, producing high-quality purified water.

Product Water Tank: Stores the treated water, ensures a stable supply, and provides buffer capacity for system demand.

We usually recommend that customers prepare their own Raw Water Tank and Product Water Tank.
This can help save shipping costs, as the tanks can be purchased locally.
The process flow depends on the customer’s requirements and the raw water. Different water qualities and uses lead to different designs.

What are the applications of containerized reverse osmosis system?

1.Drinking Water Supply:
Residential communities, hotels, schools, hospitals, etc.

2.Industrial Water:
Food processing, beverage factories, pharmaceutical plants, electronics factories, etc.; can produce process water with low TDS or ultrapure water.

3.Agriculture and Irrigation:
Greenhouses, crop irrigation, and livestock drinking water; removes salts and hardness to protect crops and animals.

4.Seawater or Brackish Water Desalination:
Coastal areas, islands, ships; converts seawater or brackish water into drinking or industrial water.

5.Emergency and Temporary Water Supply:
Construction sites, disaster relief areas, remote locations; containerized systems can be quickly transported and deployed to provide drinking or industrial water.

What’s Inside a Containerized RO System?

Our containerized RO system comes with a modular, ready-to-use design. The main components inside the container include:
1.New or used shipping container (restored and painted)
2.Control cabinet for automated operation
3.Explosion-proof lighting
4.Pipe connections between all components and systems
5.Instrument wiring and internal cabling integrated with the main control cabinet
6.Non-slip flooring for safety
7.Optional air conditioning for stable operation
8.Optional insulated whiteboard for thermal protection
9.Ventilation fans to maintain airflow
10.Complete water reverse osmosis system:reverse osmosis(RO) system and pre-treatment part

The main components of the reverse osmosis system mainly include:
-Reverse osmosis membrane and membrane housing
-Control panel: PLC+HMI optional;
-Flow meter;
-Level float;
-High-pressure pump;
-Precision filter

Pre-Treatment Part:
-Booster Pump
-Sand filter
-Activated carbon filter (optional)
-Water softener (optional)

Key Features: Modular, portable, and easy to deploy, suitable for drinking water, industrial water, and emergency water supply applications.

If you have the following needs, container reverse osmosis is your best choice.

1.When rapid installation and immediate use are required:
On-site connection to electricity and water is all that’s needed for the system to run immediately.

2.When there’s no fixed equipment room or limited on-site space:
The container itself serves as an independent equipment room, suitable for outdoor use and confined spaces.

3.When frequent relocation or site changes are necessary:
Construction sites, mining areas, islands, etc., can be transported as a whole and reused.

4.When the environment is harsh and equipment requires protection:
Containers provide dustproof, rainproof, and sunproof protection, extending system lifespan.

5.When customers want a complete, integrated solution:
All piping, electrical, and equipment are pre-installed, making it a “plug-and-play” system.

To help us recommend the most suitable water treatment system, please provide the following information:
