What is a DI Water System?

A DI Water System removes dissolved salts (ions) from feed water using ion exchange resins. These resins replace cations (such as calcium, magnesium, sodium) and anions (such as chloride, sulfate, nitrate) with hydrogen (H⁺) and hydroxide (OH⁻) ions, which combine to form pure H₂O. The result is deionized water with very low conductivity and minimal Total Dissolved Solids (TDS).
