Sand Filter System Function.
It uses quartz sand as a filter medium. Under a certain pressure, the water with higher turbidity is filtered through a certain thickness of granular or non-granular quartz sand, which effectively intercepts and removes suspended solids, organic matter, and colloids in the water. Particles, microorganisms, chlorine, smell and some heavy metal ions, etc., ultimately achieve the effect of reducing water turbidity and purifying water quality.
Activated Carbon Filter System Function.
The activated carbon filter can absorb the residual chlorine from source water. To prevent the reverse osmosis membrane from being oxidized and degraded, Meanwhile it also adsorbs pollutants such as small molecular organics leaked from the previous stage. , It has obvious adsorption and removal effect on peculiar smell, colloids and pigments, heavy metal ions, etc., and also has the effect of reducing COD. The SDI value of RO inflow can be further reduced to ensure SDI<5 and TOC<2.0ppm.
How Does Them Work?
Water enters the top of the vessel and passes through one or more layers of filter media. Particles are physically retained in the void spaces between sand grains, producing cleaner water at the outlet.
Process flow:
Source water→Pumping to tank→Feed water pump → mutimedia filter(sands filter) →Carbon filter →Micro filter.

Control method:
